Lincoln High School Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA)

Welcome back Lynx family! And, a special welcome to our Class of 2027; we’re so happy to see you on campus!

The Lincoln Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) welcomes you to the Lincoln community and we look forward to seeing you at our meetings, events, and volunteer activities.

Welcome to the Lincoln High School PTSA information pages.

Our Mission

The Lincoln High School PTSA strives to be a powerful voice, a relevant resource, and a strong advocate for students, families, and teachers. We seek to be in community and bring all voices, perspectives, and experiences to the table. We recognize that historic and current institutional privileges are barriers we must actively address in order to foster a safe, transparent, and inclusive environment–and that only by centering and serving the needs of historically marginalized and underserved populations can we serve the needs of our community at large. We invite all students, families, school staff, and community members to join us in supporting our students so that they can learn with passion, act with courage, and improve the world.

Become a PTSA Member

Anyone who supports Lincoln High students, staff and families is welcome to join the Lincoln PTSA. This includes everyone our name implies (Parents, Teachers and Students), as well as alumni, grandparents, extended family members, community members, and more. Go to our PTSA Membership page to learn more. All are welcome to become members of the Lincoln PTSA!

What do we do?

Along with communicating the legislative and budget priorities of our community to the state PTA and legislators, we will provide financial and volunteer support for the students, parents, and staff of Lincoln High School. Some ways we hope to enhance the Lincoln experience include:

Community-building events for students and families + Support for after-school sports and programs + Grade-level events + Parent education events + College information nights + Lincoln PTSA newsletter + Graduation celebrations + Reflections cultural arts competition  + Professional development support + Library books and classroom supplies support  + Teacher and staff appreciation events + Student scholarship fund + Grants to teachers and staff + and more!

Overall, the Lincoln PTSA will be a powerful voice for children, a relevant resource for families, an ardent supporter of the school and community, and a strong advocate for the well-being and education for all children.

PTSA Meetings

Board Meetings are held monthly on the second Monday of the month and are open to all, although only board and committee members may actively participate. If you would like to have an issue addressed at a board meeting, we ask that you email us at Info@LincolnSeattlePTSA.org to have your item added to our meeting agenda.

Membership Meetings are held quarterly and are also open to all in our community. We hope you’ll come to hear speakers on educational and parenting topics, staff presentations, and school-related discussions.

Please check the PTSA News & Events page or the Lincoln online calendar for more information.

Fundraising

There will be many opportunities throughout the year to help the Lincoln PTSA raise funds, to fill the gaps where state and district funding fall short in meeting the needs of our school. As a registered Washington State Charitable Organization, donors can rest assured that all the money we raise will go to support our school, students and community. We hope to make it easy for parents and community members to donate in whatever ways or amounts they desire.

The Lincoln PTSA is a 501(c)(3) organization and your donations are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law. Please go to our PTSA Fundraising page for more information.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

The Lincoln PTSA Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee supports Lincoln families whose children may not be receiving equal education opportunities due to factors such as race, religion, special education, health conditions, gender identity, sexual orientation, poverty, homelessness, and other normal aspects of being human.

The DEI helps families network with other families facing similar issues, seeks to identify and share with the Lincoln community what improvements need to be made at our school, and seeks to contribute toward solutions.

We encourage you to attend our Zoom meetings – every Tuesday at 7pm – whether you will just be sitting in or you wish to become more actively involved.

Learn more about our activities and events on our DEI page. Contact us at Lincoln.PTSA.DEI@gmail.com for more information.
