Our Mission

Mission Statement
The Lincoln High School Parent Teacher Student Association is a resounding voice, a valuable resource, and an advocate for students, families, and staff. We are dedicated to fostering a community where every voice, perspective, and experience is welcomed and valued. We acknowledge the historical and ongoing barriers of institutional privilege. By prioritizing the needs of historically marginalized and underserved populations, we aim to serve the broader needs of our community. We extend a warm invitation to all to join us in supporting our students to learn with passion, act with courage, and improve the world.

Values
● We look within to end practices adversely affecting our historically marginalized students, families, staff, and communities.
● We celebrate and embrace our diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.
● We are committed to equity, inclusion, and representation.
● Our focus is to support an outstanding education that empowers students to reach their full potential.

Community-building events for students and families + Support for after-school sports and programs + Grade-level events + Parent education events + College information nights + Lincoln PTSA newsletter + Graduation celebrations + Reflections cultural arts competition  + Professional development support + Library books and classroom supplies support  + Teacher and staff appreciation events + Student scholarship fund + Grants to teachers and staff + and more!

Overall, the Lincoln PTSA will be a powerful voice for children, a relevant resource for families, an ardent supporter of the school and community, and a strong advocate for the well-being and education for all children.

PTSA Meetings

Board Meetings are held monthly on the second Monday of the month and are open to all, although only board and committee members may actively participate. If you would like to have an issue addressed at a board meeting, we ask that you email us at LincolnPTSASecretary@gmail.com to have your item added to our meeting agenda.

Membership Meetings are held quarterly and are also open to all in our community. We hope you’ll come to hear speakers on educational and parenting topics, staff presentations, and school-related discussions.

Please check the PTSA News & Events page or the Lincoln online calendar for more information.

Fundraising

There will be many opportunities throughout the year to help the Lincoln PTSA raise funds, to fill the gaps where state and district funding fall short in meeting the needs of our school. As a registered Washington State Charitable Organization, donors can rest assured that all the money we raise will go to support our school, students and community. We hope to make it easy for parents and community members to donate in whatever ways or amounts they desire.

The Lincoln PTSA is a 501(c)(3) organization and your donations are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law. Please go to our PTSA Fundraising page for more information.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

The Lincoln PTSA Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee supports Lincoln families whose children may not be receiving equal education opportunities due to factors such as race, religion, special education, health conditions, gender identity, sexual orientation, poverty, homelessness, and other normal aspects of being human.

The DEI helps families network with other families facing similar issues, seeks to identify and share with the Lincoln community what improvements need to be made at our school, and seeks to contribute toward solutions.

We are currently seeking a DEI Chairperson to join PTSA.  Please contact LinsolnPTSAPresident@gmail.com if you are interested!
