Important Senior Dates
Will post date timeline once finalized.
Please check back often to the page for all the important events, deadlines, and requirements that seniors and their families need to know about before graduation.
Cap and Gown
Cap and gown orders are now open and are ordered directly from the graduation vendor, National Achiever, using the site Lincoln-lynx.com or the following link. If you have questions about any of the items on that page, please call National Achiever directly at 425-357-1338. No payment for graduation items is made to Lincoln; it is all handled by National Achiever. To pay by check, please send payment and order form to address noted on the bottom of the order form.
Each graduate is responsible for purchasing the cap and gown package titled “Lincoln High School Cap and Gown Unit,” or if you or someone you know has a black cap and gown that will fit you, you will only need to purchase the tassel and stole for the year your graduating class (titled “20XX LHS Class Stole Only + Tassel only”). To see these items, scroll down towards the bottom of the page linked above.
Beyond the basic cap and gown package, all purchases are optional. Swag items will be shipped to the school before winter break for distribution, but caps and gowns will be distributed at school in late April.
If you need financial assistance for the cap and gown purchase, please reach out to your counselor as soon as possible. We do have a limited supply of donated gowns of various sizes to borrow.

Final Transcripts
All Seniors MUST designate their college/university to receive a final transcript on Naviance. Not only is this step necessary for routing your final transcript to your designated college, but completing the college designation in Naviance is one of the steps to be cleared for graduation. A PDF with instructions is available on the Counseling Schoology page in the “Class of 2025” folder. If the college/university is not available in Naviance, email the registrar before your last day of school: lamiller@seattleschools.org.
Once transcripts are available, they will be submitted as soon as possible on behalf of all Seniors through Naviance.
Colleges may “require” final transcripts as early as July 1 which typically cannot be accommodated due to our academic and grades submissions calendar. A letter explaining this delay has been prepared by the counseling team and can be found on the Counseling Schoology page in the senior section. Download and email the “Final Transcript Delay” letter to send to your college if you are concerned about transcript deadlines.
Final transcripts will be sent to colleges during the week of July 7th -July 11th.
Recommendation Letters for College Applications
The process for students requesting letters of recommendation from LHS staff members is presented in the Spring of a student’s 11th grade year, and again in the Fall of their 12th grade year during Mentorship class meetings. Seniors need to only request letters IF the institution(s) they are applying to requires them. Not all institutions or programs require letters of recommendation, so please visit their respective websites to find out if you need one. If you do need one, students must request them in writing to their staff member at least 3 weeks in advance of the due date.
Please email your teacher your request. In the email include the name of the institutions you are applying to that require letters, and please include the application deadline. In return, the LHS staff member will reply back students with a link to an online form that students must complete.
Parents and families: Please help us support the college application process by encouraging your student to reach out to their desired recommenders in a kind and professional manner to receive the online letter of recommendation request form. Counselors presented the process to request a letter of recommendation from teachers and staff in their 11th and 12th grade year. The whole staff is following the same process and students are welcome to ask any teacher or counselor if they have any questions about that. We appreciate your partnership.
