My name is Ray Atkinson, and I am honored to be the Head Baseball Coach at Lincoln High School. Lincoln holds a special place in my heart—I was a 3-sport athlete at Lincoln High School from 1979 to 1981 when it closed. I went on to play baseball at Lewis-Clark State College when we won the NAIA College World Series in 1987. I have been involved with youth baseball for the last 25 years and coached baseball and football at Bothell High School for over 10 years, leading Bothell to win the Washington State 4A Baseball Championship in 2011. I also run the Atkinson Baseball Academy in Kirkland, WA. My coaching philosophy is centered not just around creating great athletes, but also around helping great kids turn into even greater young adults with a strong moral code. I have been married to my college sweetheart for 30 years and we have three grown children and a grandson on the way. When I’m not with family or at a baseball game, I enjoy spending time on my boat fishing.
