Lincoln Counseling Crew 2022-2023 Calendar

The Lynx Counseling Crew is available every day to support students experiencing crisis, our student’s mental health remains a priority, regardless of what is on our calendar.  

September

  • 14 – First Day of School – Welcome, we are excited to partner with you! 
  • TBD. National Merit Scholar Support 
  • 21 – Senior Class Meeting – Letters of Rec, Applications, Future Options, Applications, Grad Requirements 
  • 23 – Last day to submit a schedule change 
  • 28 – 9th Grade Class Meeting – Community & Graduation Requirements

October

  • College and Career Virtual Visits through Naviance**
    • Seniors scroll to bottom of Naviance homepage under “What’s New”  
  • Seattle Promise Rep available at Lincoln Tuesday/Thursday 
  • First Semester Intervention – Updating seniors and their families who are currently off track to graduate
  • 1 – FAFSA/WAFSA Opens  
  • 3 – Financial Aid Night 5pm – 7pm Lincoln High Library  
  •           Includes support for FAFSA, Seattle Promise*, and more!  
  • 3-7 -. College and Career Week – Daily drop-in support every day at lunch for application and career support 
  •           Daily tips including Military, Trade School, WUE, Seattle Promise, Scholarships 
  • 5 – 11th Grade Class Meeting – Social Emotional Health and Community Caretaking 
  • 12 – SAT/PSAT Day for 11th and 12th Graders
    • 9th and 10th Grade Class Meetings and presentations on Community Building, Email, and Organization 
    • Naviance**: 9th Grade Strengths Explorer & 10th Grade AchieveWorks 
  • 19 – 10th Grade Class Meeting – Trade Schools 
  • 21 – Semester 1 Grade Check – All students with D’s and E’s families will be notified  
  • 24-28 – Drop-in support at lunch for college application and career support

November

  • 2 – Curriculum Night
  • 7-11 – Drop-in support every day at lunch for college application and career support 
  • 14-18 – Running Start drop-in during Lynx Time and Lunch
  • 21-23 – Seniors! If you need help with figuring out post-secondary plans, we will have drop-in times available during (Lynx Time and Lunch) next week, 11/21 – 11/23. No need to set up an appointment, just check in with your 3rd period teacher and head over to the Counseling Center.

December

*Seattle Promise provides graduates of Seattle Public Schools (SPS) with up to two years (or 90 free credits) of financial assistance and support services at any of the three Seattle Colleges (North Seattle College, Seattle Central College, and South Seattle College). 

** Naviance tasks are required for graduation.
