Coach Kwame Seymour – kwame.a.seymour@gmail.com
Kwame Seymour, born and raised outside of Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Head Wrestling Coach at Lincoln since 2021. I started wrestling in elementary school because my older brother was trying it out and I never stopped. I attended Forsyth Country Day School and was always a part of their wrestling program. This program taught me hard work, dedication, and sacrifice would yield positive outcomes. Individually in high school I placed 3rd my freshman year, 2nd Sophomore and Junior year, and finally a State Champion my Senior year. Our team had 4 consecutive state champion team titles, sending wrestlers to schools being JMU, Naval Academy, Army, Columbia, Princeton, VT, UNCG, and Belmont Abbey College where I attended. I would not be the wrestler or person I am without these teams and the people I met along the way. At Belmont Abbey I was on the Men’s Wrestling team all 4 years. I have a personal goal for one of my wrestlers to compete at the college level. I love the wrestling community we have been growing at Lincoln. Our coaches are sharp and dedicated, families supportive and willing to learn, and finally our student athletes are tough and have the right mindset.
