Throughout October the Lincoln cheer team’s booster club is selling pink Lincoln T-shirts for breast cancer awareness month. 10% of the process will go to UW breast cancer research. you can purchase at home football games as well as thought the student store starting 10/1 and ending 10/31.
Hey Lynx! Did you know that Lincoln has a chess club and chess team? Our chess club meets every Wednesday at lunch in room 205. Come join us anytime! We play casual games and hang out to chill music. Chess club has members of all skill levels, from beginner to expert, and everyone is welcome. If you are interested in joining our chess team, we have both a varsity and a JV team here at Lincoln! Our varsity team finished 3rd in the Metro League last year and both teams will start competing in matches starting in early December this year. Hey Lynx, the Center for Education in Mathematics and Computing (CEMC) will be hosting a math workshop right here at Lincoln High School! Join Professor Sachin Kotecha as he leads students through challenging math problems and explains the techniques used to solve them in a fun, group setting. If you’re interested in sharpening your math skills and learning from a university professor, please sign the interest form on the Schoology post.
Do you like good eats while also supporting the school? Lincoln Theatre is having a chipotle fundraiser on Tuesday, October 21st and would love to see you come out! Go to our local Chipotle, get your usual order and tell the cashier, I’m here for Lincoln. It’s 5-9pm, so make sure to bring family too!
Gymnastics season is coming up! If you are interested in joining Lincoln’s gymnastics team please show up to an informational meeting on Wednesday October 22nd in rm 353 at lunch. This meeting is mandatory if you are planning on trying out, so if you can’t make it please contact Ms. Montgomery to get the try-out paperwork.
Lynx! Are you interested in upcoming King County specific elections and voting? 🗳️ Are you 16+? Make sure to join LHS 4 Climate Justice Club next Thursday (24th) before school and during lunch in front of the main entrance for our Voter Registration Drive! Get free King County Elections merch and get registered to vote for King County general elections (or pre-register if you’re 16-17). If you aren’t 16 or older, you are still able to come visit and receive some free merch!
Hey Lynx, Lincoln Keystone Club is looking for volunteers for the annual Halloween Alley event which has raised thousand of dollars in the past years. Earn your service hours while giving out candy and hosting fun games for kids. It’s a great way to show your involvement with your community and have fun while doing it! If you are interested, email Augustine Lee or Atticus Wilson-Novotny, or send us a message on instagram at lhs_keystone.
HOCOchella tickets are on sale now! The due date for guest forms have been pushed to Tuesday, October 21st! Forms can be picked up and turned in outside of Ms. G’s office in the upper commons. Do NOT turn in your forms to the main office. Make sure a copy of your guest’s ID is attached, or your form will get sent back to you. The dance is on Saturday, October 25th – can’t wait to see you all there!
Lincoln’s first annual Trunk or Treat event is coming up on Thursday, October 30th. If your club or sports team is interested in participating, look for the form to sign up on the ASB Schoology page or the TVs around the building. Pick a theme, decorate a trunk, and pass out candy to kids from the neighborhood and nearby schools. The event runs from 5pm – 7pm. We would love to see you there.
