    Family Return Information

    Dear Lincoln Families,

Since sending out our Friday Family letter we have received multiple emails and questions seeking more information on the return to in-person learning, the shift in student bell schedule, and instruction model options. We want to support our families as you respond to the survey sent by the district last Friday evening.

We recognize that the return to in-person instruction is happening quickly with a lot of moving pieces. While we do not have all the details and specifics ironed out yet, our staff is working hard to develop the best learning experience possible within the structure provided. Acknowledging that the SEA and SPS agreed upon model is a change from our current model, our teachers will be and working this week to design and implement content specific approaches that maximize instructional time, social emotional supports and student engagement for in person and remote learners. Per the teachers’ agreement, all students, regardless of whether they choose to return to in-person instruction or choose to stay fully remote, will have access to the same amount of instruction.

The deadline to respond to the SPS survey for in-person and remote learning options has been extended until midnight on April 6. If you did not receive your personalized survey from the district, the survey can be found here https://tinyurl.com/SPS-In-Person-Learning-Survey

The return to in-person learning is imperfect, however, Lincoln staff are committed to continuing to build connections for our students and offer excellent teaching and learning. We are centered and guided by our mission to learn with passion, act with courage, and improve the world.

New Schedule for all students starting 4/19

All Students will be expected to attend both morning and afternoon class sessions from 9AM-11:10AM and 11:55-3:50 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

All Students will attend their Mentorship on Wednesdays remotely

Students choosing in-person will attend required afternoon class either Mon/Tue (Cohort A) or Thurs/Fri (Cohort B) based on the cohort in which they are assigned. They will attend remotely, along with the all-remote Cohort C, on their opposite days.

Students will remain with their current teachers in the morning and afternoon sessions.

Students choosing to stay fully remote will attend afternoon classes via Teams all four days (M,T,Th,F)

A family information night was held via Teams Live on Monday April 5th at 6:30PM where many of the questions that parents have about return to school were addressed.  A recording of the meeting can be accessed here:  https://youtu.be/trqDF7zO2u4

We thank you in advance for your patience and flexibility and we look forward to seeing you tonight on Teams Live.

    Sincerely,
    Lincoln Staff
