Dear Lincoln Families,
LHS staff is grateful for our community and the opportunity to work with our students this year. In the words of Karl Barth, ‘Joy is the simplest form of gratitude’. We wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration and we hope you find joy in the holiday in these unique circumstances and over the long weekend.
Please join us on Tuesday, December 8 at 6:30pm for Lynx Learning Support: Strategies to Support Your Students at Home! We know that virtual learning has been difficult for many of our students, and families have requested strategies for supporting executive functioning and social/emotional health at home. The Lincoln support staff have partnered with educational consultant Megan Terada to provide family education regarding time management, organization, and stress reduction. The goal of this workshop is to provide families with tools and strategies to support Lincoln students’ growth as independent learners in a virtual setting. This presentation complements many of the lessons students are learning in their Mentorship class. A Teams Live link will be posted on the LHS website 24 hours in advance and also a recording will be posted for those who are unable to attend the Teams Live session.
Our regular newsletter will resume next week. Archived newsletters can be found on our website.
Happy Thanksgiving and Native American Heritage Day,
From the Lincoln Staff
