Lincoln Film Festival and MOD Pizza Fundraiser

Lincoln HS ASB students have produced the first annual Lincoln HS Film Festival! 36 students participated in making these films, and their productions will be shown by category (humor, documentary, etc.) at 7:00 pm Monday Nov 16 through Thursday Nov 19 on the LHS YouTube channel (search “Lincoln High School ASB” on YouTube). In addition, the links to the evening premieres will be available on the LHS announcements page each day. On Friday, Nov 20, students will host an award show on the same channel.
As a community partnership in support of this event, we are working with MOD pizza in Fremont to do a fundraiser. All day on Thursday November 19, place an order for delivery, dine-in, or takeout with MOD pizza in Ballard and mention the Lincoln HS fundraiser, or use code GritLHS1 if placing an order online. MOD pizza will donate 20% of the profits for all LHS orders that day – 10:30 am to 11:00 pm – and proceeds will go towards funding student activities at Lincoln. For questions, please contact the Activities Coordinator, Christy Neuschwander
Click here for event flyerFor online orders use Promo Code GR167126L NOT the one listed on the flyer-though the flyer will work for in-store orders!

First Quarter Ends! Grades for 1st Quarter will be published on the Source 11/23

The first quarter of the 20-21 school year ended on 11/5! As we reach the first progress report of the year, we are asking families to check in with their student. Current progress of your student can be found on The Source and first quarter grades will be published on the Source on November 23rd. This is an important time to add some additional supports from school and at home for any student who is not where they want to be. Teachers at Lincoln will be reaching out to all students who are receiving less than a C- in class. It is very important that your student respond to the communication so that supports for learning can be implemented. In addition, teachers will reach out to parents or guardians, and we ask that you please reply to help set up those plans of support. Thanks for your help.

    Flu shots

We are excited to announce that our Lincoln High Teen Health Center will be hosting a Flu Vaccine Clinic for ALL Seattle Public School students. We will have both the flu shot and nasal flu vaccine available.
    Where and When?
We will be hosting clinics on November 16th, and November 18th from 9am-7pm. The clinic will be held in the parking lot in front of Lincoln High School. Families can drive up and stay in their car while receiving their shot(s).
We can provide flu shots and flu mist for all students who are registered with an SPS school. If you have students who are still in need of their flu shots, please refer them to us.
To receive services from the Lincoln Health Center, we just need a simple (abbreviated) registration form completed. These registration forms can be found online at the LHS Website under the Teen Health Center tab, sent directly to your email or we will have physical copies with us at the clinic for those who do not register online prior to their appointment.
Once the student is registered, they can call our clinic at 206-548-5760 or email to book a time slot. We are happy to see kids who drive up/walk up without an appointment; however, they may have to wait until our Nurse Practitioner is available.
There is no cost for SPS students!

9th Grade College Bound Scholarship Opportunity!

The College Bound Scholarship is a state scholarship program open to income-eligible middle school students in 7th and 8th grades. Due to challenges brought about by COVID-19 last spring, the College Bound Scholarship sign-up window has been extended for the class of 2024. Eligible 9th graders in the class of 2024 now have until November 30th to complete their College Bound applications. Seattle middle schools have historically signed up 99% of their eligible students and we do not want the class of 2024 to miss out on this opportunity. Please contact your school counselor for more information and to sign up!

    Kingmakers of Seattle

To extend an opportunity to Black male students across the district, the Office of African American Male Achievement has launched Kingmakers of Seattle Extended (KOSE). Kingmakers, an elective program for Black male 7th through 12th grade students, currently operates in four SPS schools in partnership with the City of Seattle. The virtual extension is a five-week, 10 session program that will connect more Black male students across the district to share experiences, participate in affirming curriculum that addresses stereotypes and focuses on their cultural identity, and elevate their voice.
There are two cohorts in the first semester: November 10 - December 10 and January 5 - February 4. Sessions will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 - 5 p.m. Black male students in 7th through 12th grade are encouraged to apply to the program by Friday, Nov. 6.
For more information and to apply, please go to

Lincoln will have a representative from KOSE available to answer questions on a LIVE Teams Chat Event on December 9 at 12:40-1:15. If your family is interested in attending this LIVE Teams Chat, please submit this hyperlinked form so we can include you on a separate email with the event’s link.
