Principal’s Welcome Letter

Welcome back!  It was so great welcoming our students back to the building this week.  This is our first year where we are at full capacity in all four grades, and you could feel the energy and excitement in the halls. As I walked through Lincoln this week it has been wonderful catching all the strong focus on community building and relationships happening in our classes.

We will continue with our family newsletter twice a month to keep you up to date on important information, and I encourage you to get involved with our PTSA. As a reminder, the fall general membership meeting is on November 17th. You can also connect with us by visiting us on the web and following us on social media.

I want to extend a thank you to our families for your flexibility with the start of the school year and a special thanks to all of our amazing parent volunteers who’ve signed up to help with way-finding, lunch pin number look up, picture day and laptop distribution!

I am so proud to be part of such a special community that we have here at Lincoln and look forward to serving our students as we support them to Learn with Passion; Act with Courage; and Improve the World.  #GoLynx

-Dr. Corey Eichner

Back to School Forms

Start of school forms are online

Please email FERPA and Emergency Contact forms to

All families also need to complete a data verification form on the Source.

This is used to verify your student’s demographic information, emergency contact information, and other data. The 2021-22 student data verification form will be available ONLY from Sept. 1 – 30.

Thank you to all who have taken care of fees.  If you have not yet had the opportunity to take care of these fees, please see the info below.  As always, let your counselor know if you need assistance with any costs.

Universal Supply Fee – Lincoln is implementing a universal $80 supply fee for the 2022-2023 school year.

We welcome additional donations from families via SchoolPay to help support those who are unable to pay the $80 fee.

ASB Cards – All students are encouraged to purchase an ASB student activity card for $45 on SchoolPay. Students who participate in athletics are required to purchase one. Benefits include discounts on select items and events throughout the year.  If you purchased ASB but it did not print on your ID card, please go see Mr Lee in the commons during lunch or after school to get the sticker added to your card.

Backpack Brigade

Could you use some extra food for the weekend? Backpack Brigade is a new support at Lincoln that provides food for families! We receive bags of meals and snacks for families that might not have access to food on the weekend. The bags have nutritious, kid-friendly, name-brand items that kids will recognize and that will not spoil. All bags have 12-13 items:

3 each of breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. We offer 6 menus, to represent the kid’s dietary, cultural or religious needs. We receive bags of food every Thursday and they can be picked up after school on Thursdays or anytime on Fridays.

Please see Mr. Flavors in the Library, email at, or call at 206-413-2500, if you are interested in receiving some food for the weekend.

Counseling Crew Announcements

Our Counseling Team is working hard to ensure that our students are in academic programs that meet graduation requirements and their future plans.

We have been incredibly busy with schedules, and want to highlight a few things you can expect this year:

  • Transparency, including a calendar of what the counseling team will be delivering
  • Ensuring all students know how to access supports for their social emotional wellness
  • Increasing our focus on college and career readiness
    • Next Week – The letter of recommendation process will be rolled out to seniors
    • September 30th – College and career calendar unveiled on LHS counseling website
    • Early October – FAFSA/WAFSA, college application, and career exploration support

Schedule Change Update

The good news is that 90% of students got into the courses they selected during last year’s registration period. There were approximately 10% of students in which their selections did not match up with our master schedule.  For those students, Counselors had to add classes to their schedules that they did not request, but most importantly, kept them on track to meet all graduation requirements by spring of Senior year.  We know this is not ideal, but as a publicly funded school, operating under teacher contracted student classroom limits, we have a finite amount of space in every class offered.

As of Friday morning we have reviewed approximately 600 change requests. All schedule changes that have been submitted before 9/15 will be reviewed by the end of the day 9/16. The last day to submit a schedule change request is 9/23. The last date for any schedule change to take place without a penalty of a W (Withdrawal grade) is on Tuesday, 9/27.

The Lincoln Lynx Counseling team is excited to collaborate with our community this year. Go Lynx!!

Library News

The Lincoln Library is open and so excited to see all our Lynx! Library hours are 8:15-4:30 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and we’re open for lunch. We close at 2:30 on Wednesdays for staff meetings. All 9th graders will be visiting the library for official orientations during their ELA classes in the next two weeks, but all students are welcome to drop by anytime!

Student library volunteer orientations will take place on Monday and Tuesday, October 3-4, after school. Student library volunteers help us keep the library running. Keep an eye out at school and online at @lincolnlibrarylynx (insta) and for more details as we get closer to the date!

Laptop distribution

Laptop distribution for students will happen during math classes on Monday 9/19 and Tuesday 9/20. Students who do not have a math class in their schedule can go the library to check out a laptop on either of those days.

Please bring Laptop Agreement or a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) form with you. These were distributed in first period classes on 9/15 and here:

Questions about your student’s new laptop?

Check out the SPS Technology Support page for even more laptop information.

School Pictures Days 9/26, 9/27 and 9/28

School pictures are used for the yearbook and Student ID card. All students will get their picture taken. Students who have paid for their ASB card by Sept 23 will have the ASB sticker printed on their ID card. The link to pay for ASB is available on SchoolPay

Families can preorder photos online

2022-23 Lincoln High School Picture Days 9/26, 27, 28

  • Print preorders orders will be shipped directly to students’ homes within three weeks after the picture day
  • Digital preorders orders will be sent via email from within three weeks after the picture day (use “” to search your inbox/spam folders if you don’t see the email come through)
  • ID cards will be printed onsite and handed to students at the time of their photo
  • Photos will be available for online viewing about a week after picture day, using the student’s school ID number (there is no deadline to view and order, and these orders will be shipped/emailed within 10-14 business days after the order is placed)
  • For questions, please contact

Pictures will be taken on 9/26, 9/27, and 9/28. Because school ID cards can be used as a legal form of identification, students are not permitted to hold props or wear non-religious head coverings for their photo. Students wearing masks will be asked to remove them just long enough for the photo to be taken and can then replace them. All students will be doing photos during their science classes.

Running Start students can get their pictures taken anytime on Sept 26, 27 or 28. Students absent on their regular day, or students who do not have a science class at LHS, can make up later in the picture day window or on our make up day. Order before or after picture day either way works. Prices are the same and all orders are shipped home.

Senior Portraits are due by January 15 and need to be uploaded online

Type in the school code: lincoln2023 and choose “upload your portrait”.  Portraits need to be in a portrait configuration (not landscape), and be in high resolution format.  Portraits need to be classy, clean, and it is not a requirement that they are professionally done.  You may take them or have a friend take them.

As a reminder students are not allowed to park in the parking lot. Please consider walking, bussing or biking to school. Queen Anne Families – please see the stops for Lincoln HS Shuttle.

Health and Safety

As we come to the end of our first week of school we are getting into the swing of things as a fully enrolled school! Lincoln students are overall doing well creating a safe and welcoming environment.  We appreciate those of you keeping your students home if they feel unwell and having them hands often in school. If a student or staff member is symptomatic, they can be sent home with an iHealth home test kit.

Your participation is an integral part of our PTSA work building an association of diverse voices.
