    Good afternoon Lincoln Families,

We have one week remaining in the school year! Please review some of the important dates below for textbook/supply return, when to return school-issued laptops, library books, and last week of school. Upcoming Dates
    • June 12: Saturday School for Semester Grade Support (see below)
    • June 14: Textbook/Supply return (Cohort C), 4-5:30PM
    • June 14-June 18: New Bell Schedule – see below
    • June 17: Final Assembly – will be available on the Lincoln ASB Youtube
    • June 18: Last Day of school and Laptop Return (see below)

Saturday School for Semester Grade Support

Lincoln will be hosting Virtual Saturday School to support students with Incompletes from 1st semester or who are at-risk of receiving an Incomplete for 2nd semester. Virtual Saturday Schools will be held on June 12th from 10:00am-12:00pm. The Teams link will be available to students on the Academic Support Center Schoology page. We will have staff and tutors available to support students in ELA, Math, Social Studies, Science, Engineering, and Spanish. If your student has an Incomplete in a course not listed, they will need to communicate with their teacher for support options. This is a valuable opportunity for students with grades of Incomplete to earn credit for this year’s courses, which will help ensure both a strong start to next school year and on-time graduation. Students who have not completed Incomplete grades after June 12th will be expected to attend Summer School.

Textbook and Supply Return – 6/14 Cohort C

Do you have textbooks or library books to return from 2020 or 2021? Not sure what’s checked out to you? Watch this short video from Ms. Scott to see how to check your account. https://vimeo.com/555966383
Textbook and supply return for cohort C will be happening on 6/14 from 4-5:30PM. We need all textbooks and supplies returned so that we can take inventory for next year. Students will enter the courtyard through entrance off the parking lot. Departments will collect and check-in any textbooks and supplies from cohorts A and B during in-person time. Teachers will remind students what supplies need to be returned. We are asking students and families to support us in getting all our textbooks and supplies returned so that we have them available for next year. Please note, any unreturned or lost items will result in a school fine to be paid next year.

    SPS Laptop Return – 6/18 (Cohorts A, B, & C)

We will be collecting laptops on Friday 6/18 from all cohorts. Students in Cohort A and B will return laptops through mentorship on 6/18. Please make sure students bring their laptop and charger to school and any other technology related items materials they checked out this year. Students in Cohort C will return their laptop and technology resources through the library balcony on 6/18. We are asking students in cohort C to attend classes in the morning and then come to Lincoln after lunch to return the laptop (12:15PM-3PM). Please remember that face masks and physical distancing are required during laptop return. *Any student who will be attending SPS summer school will keep their laptop and charger until the completion of summer school.

    Bell Schedule Change June 14th-18th

To meet the instructional minutes for in-person instruction required by OSPI (Office of Superintendent for Public Instruction) and the governor, there will be a schedule change in Seattle Public Schools the last week of school, June 14th-18th. Fall Yearbook Pick-up

2020-2021 Yearbooks will be delivered to the school over the summer and LHS will have a yearbook signing day during the first couple of weeks of the school year for all students who ordered yearbooks. If your family is moving schools and your student will not be around to pick up their yearbook this fall, please message Mr. Snyder (masnyder@seattleschools.org) so alternative arrangements can be made in the fall.

    Summer Library Books

Library books are available for summer checkout! Visit us on the web to place a hold on books to be picked up and reach out to Ms. Scott for recommendations and help! https://lincolnhs.seattleschools.org/academics/library

    Lincoln Summer Learning Opportunity

Lincoln will be offering students with Incompletes from 1st and 2nd semesters the opportunity to finalize their Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) in-person with the support of staff and tutors. The tentative dates of the Summer Learning Opportunity program are July 6-30 from 9am-12pm. Students will be assigned to a 2-week window per course and will only need to attend until they have completed all work on their ILP. If your student has an Incomplete from 1st semester or is at-risk of earning an Incomplete for 2nd semester, you will receive registration information by email next week.

    Summer Athletic Schedule

Practice schedules for some of our athletic teams are being finalized. Information about which athletic teams will have optional practice, including times and locations will be communicated by individual coaches. Want to know if your team is practicing? Contact your head coach.

    Counseling Corner

College Admissions Information: We want to share with you a couple of presentations that we have had great feedback from families who have attended.

    1. The Lincoln Counselor Information Night
    2. UW Huskies for Kids College Night

Both presentations give insight on the college admissions process. For LHS Junior students and families, these are “Must See” programs.
For LHS Junior Students and Families, this is a hyperlink for a virtual class meeting that took place in March titled “Almost Senior-Year”. Please use this as another reminder on the “checklist” students and families can start doing this summer to lighten the load for Senior year in regards to college admissions.
    Take care and Go Lynx!
